Just at the moment it is impossible to move around the nation’s forecourts without bumping into a manufacturer or dealer scrappage scheme. The deal is your old rubbish car in exchange for a shiney new one with the added incentive of a couple of grand towards the deposit, or finance.
Well here’s a great new spin on these schemes from the fine people at Falken Tyres. ‘Owners’ can share pics of their toy cars to Falken’s Facebook or twitter and Falken will pick its favourite 20 and gladly exchange them for a Falken-branded car. And unlike some of the more ‘harsh’ scrappage schemes, Falken plans to sensitively rehome the received cars with a local charity.
