Just in case you wondered, Project Lorry, our very hands off rebuild of a 1984 Series 3 Land Rover. The colour is Limestone for those who asked.
According to our tame mechanic…
“Things are going well at the moment. The old girl is in, stripped down, the bulkhead, front panel and gearbox tunnel parts have been shot blasted and are awaiting repair before we re-paint them. The bulkhead is surprisingly good, and to be fair, so is the rest of the vehicle. We should hopefully have her built up to a rolling chassis by the end of this week. Once we are this stage, we just await the bulkhead to be painted so that we can refit this to the vehicle, and then refit the rest of the body.”
So in theory then we will have it up and running in a couple of weeks time, or are we being a trifle optimistic?
