Let’s take a quick look at the four spray settings:
Shower Mode: As the name suggests, this mode gives a gentle shower that mimics rainfall – perfect for watering flowerbeds and larger planted areas where you want to provide deep hydration without displacing soil. Also great for when you are close to the area you are washing and don’t want water splashing back onto you!
Cone Mode: This mode providers a ‘V Shape’ cone pattern, great for delicate seedlings or indoor plants that require high humidity without the weight of heavy droplets. At full flow, it is ideal for washing rubber car mats or muddy plant pots.
Power Jet Mode: This setting is the most powerful mode which mimics a pressure washer jet. It doesn’t have the same force as a pressure washer obviously, but this mode is useful to blast fresh mud from patio slabs or garden furniture. Also, it is very useful to remove bird droppings from car bodywork and glass.
Tap Mode: This setting gives a natural flow of water just as you would get by opening your garden tap; perfect for topping up your windscreen washer reservoir, filling a bucket or watering can, filling up an ice bath or water fountain. This is the ideal mode for mixing water with garden or car washing chemicals (weedkiller, lawn feed, or car shampoo/ snow foam.) You can also use this mode for gently watering soil in potted plants – perfect when you don’t want to get the plant itself wet.
The Gardena Multifunction spray gun feels ergonomic in your hand and very user friendly. We really like the integrated spray trigger so there is no risk of fingers getting pinched. You can lock the trigger in the ‘on’ position by pulling it all the way in and pull again slightly when you want to release.
