Free Car Mag has boots on the ground at the Geneva Motor Show. Despite a two hour flight delay our intrepid snapper and reporter Andrew Elphick was there to witness the unexpected win for the Jaguar I-Pace.
“They didn’t have a clue they’d win AT ALL. Frowns all round when I asked if it would be on the Tata stand…”
According to Andrew, the winning car won’t be on the stand of the company that owns Jaguar. How strange.
Ian Callum accepts the award
The I-PACE has a state-of-the-art 90kWh Lithium-ion battery and offers sports car performance of 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds alongside the practicality of a 298 mile range (WLTP cycle) and 0-80 per cent charging time of 40 minutes (100kW DC). Allied with its concept car looks and next-generation artificial intelligence, it is set to be the perfect everyday EV consumers have been waiting for.
Designed and engineered in the UK, the I-PACE is built at Plant Graz, Austria, as part of Jaguar Land Rover’s manufacturing partnership with Magna Steyr. It joins Jaguar’s growing family of SUVs, alongside the all-new E-PACE and multiple award-winning F-PACE.
Free Car mag will be reporting from the Geneva Motor Show.
