The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride
One of the world’s largest motoring event was founded in 2012. Inspired by a photo of Mad Men’s Don Draper astride a classic bike and wearing his finest suit. It was decided a themed ride would be a great way to combat the often negative stereotype of men on motorcycles. That first ride brought together over 2,500 riders across 64 cities. The success of the event encouraged the organizers to consider how it could be used to support a worthy cause. And the rest, as they say, is stylish-attired history. In 2015, they had over 40,000+ smartly dressed gentlefolk in over 400+ cities join them in raising over $2,310,000 USD.
In 2016 the goal is to take part in over 550+ cities with over 50,000 participants, aiming to raise $5,000,000 USD for prostate cancer research and mental health programs.
