Diver design models have been an important part of Orient’s history, representing everything that is Orient since their launch in the 1960s. Affectionately known as Orient Mako, this series has been widely admired by watch enthusiasts around the world since its debut in 2004, offering a variety of dial colours and intricate design details.
Founded in 1950, Orient has built its credibility as a trusted watch brand with its in-house manufactured mechanical watches and presence in over 70 countries. In 2025, Orient celebrates its 75th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, Orient is releasing the models in a limited number of 6,000 pieces each for Orient Mako and Orient Mako 40.
The limited-edition models elicit the feeling of sunny days with endless blue skies and a gentle sea breeze. They each feature sky-blue dials that stand out in active settings, with sunburst stamped patterns, sunlight-inspired second hands and a vintage Orient cursive logo from the 1950s. These features all enhance the character of these timepieces. The case with a screw case-back and screw down crown provide water resistance to 20 bar, and a cursive inscription “Orient Since 1950 – 75th Anniversary” and individual serial numbers are engraved on the case-back.
