We knew we were right all along, here is further confirmation…

The results of an independent survey of over 2,000 people, revealed people’s chief concern is that self driving cars are highly susceptible to interference. Hacking is the main fear, with 85% of respondents saying that they would be worried about driverless cars being hacked and precious cargo being intercepted – though people seemed more worried about their pets than sending some of their extended family off in one!

Key findings from the survey were:-
85% of people are concerned about hacking
However, 43% would trust self driving cars with their best friend and 30% with their spouse
Only 20% of respondents said they’d allow a driverless car to transport their pets
Only 9% would allow their children under the age of 18 in a self-driving car
50% of participants believe we should be concentrating on making drivers safer, not just cars
